Put a quality "Barlow lens" (PowerMate) without the bad side effects of a Barlow lens in your imaging path.  This will help you to achieve focus on Newtonian telescopes with a DSLR camera.  This adaptor will also ensure predictable magnification.
To use, unscrew the housing that accepts eyepieces from your 2" PowerMate and screw this adaptor in its place.  You can now fit your imaging equipment onto the male T-thread of this adaptor.
The 2x PowerMate and 4x PowerMate use different adaptors.  When ordering, state if you want the 2x or 4x Adaptor.
