The new Classic 8x42 DCF-TWP is our first roof prism binocular, and we searched long and hard to find a low- to mid-priced roof prism binocular that we felt was truly comparable to our porro prism binoculars. This is it, and the new 8x42 won't dissapoint on performance. It features excellent broadband multi-coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces, plus the addition of special phase coatings on the BaK-4 roof prisms for outstanding sharpness. Remarkably compact and lightweight, this binocular is much smaller than most 42mm roof prisms, making it an ideal companion for travel and outdoor activities. Birders will appreciate the 1.5m close focus distance, and all will enjoy the wide 7.0° field of view.
